- Why is my water lukewarm even though the heater is on?
- Three common causes: a failed dip tube (cold water mixing with hot at the top of the tank), a stuck mixing valve at the heater, or a failed lower heating element on an electric unit. I can usually tell which on-site within 15 minutes.
